Heritage Academy is a great place to learn and work. Positive character exemplifies individual and group behavior on the school campuses, in housing and in the community. Students at the Academy live together around a set of shared values, selected annually by the student body. This year's Shared School Values are respect, honesty, cooperation/helpfulness, responsibility/self-control and fairness. Together with our Statement of Beliefs and school policies, found in the Student Handbook, the Heritage Academy community provides an intimate caring community to foster life champions who demonstrate academic excellence, top passion area performance and strong character.

Heritage Academy Statement of Beliefs

1. The entire Heritage Academy community is responsible for providing a well-maintained environment that is emotionally and physically safe.
2. The entire Heritage Academy community is responsible for providing an environment that is supportive, respectful, and nurturing to students, faculty, and staff.
3. The entire Heritage Academy community is responsible for providing an environment that is sensitive to the demands of each student's outside training program and tour or performance schedule.
4. The entire Heritage Academy community is responsible for providing an environment that celebrates and promotes each student's talents and accomplishments.
5. The entire Heritage Academy community is responsible for providing an environment that models curiosity, problem solving, learning for learning’s sake, and the excitement of discovery that enables students to become confident, self-directed, and productive citizens of the world.
6. The entire Heritage Academy community is responsible for continually raising the benchmarks and expectations of academic achievement and accountability.
7. The entire Heritage Academy community is responsible for teaching, modeling, and accounting for personal and community integrity.
8. The entire Heritage Academy community values high moral character and respects individual rights of opinion and belief.
9. The entire Heritage Academy community supports instructional practices that incorporate a variety of teaching strategies designed to accommodate differences in learning styles, multiple intelligences and personalities.
10. The entire Heritage Academy community endorses teacher participation in professional development opportunities provided by the school or other approved educational outlets.
11. The entire Heritage Academy community holds the school responsible to provide flexible scheduling that maintains classroom population at or under fifteen students.
