Employment Opportunities Heritage Academy is an intellectually stimulating place for faculty and staff as well as for students. If you are interested in becoming an individual tutor, substitute teacher, or full-time employee, please download the Heritage Academy Personnel Information Form and submit the completed form along with a letter of application indicating the position(s) for which you are applying, and a resume detailing your education and experiences. Fields at Heritage Academy, 11 New Orleans Rd., Hilton Head, SC 29928 Tutors Occasionally, a student has difficulty with one of his/her classes and feels extra support is necessary to master the subject matter. In that case, the parent and student may decide to initiate tutoring service through the Director of Student Services. Tutors and students arrange a mutually convenient time outside of the school day to review content in the subject area of concern. Contracts vary in the number of hours per week and the number of weeks services will be required. Applications are accepted throughout the year for tutors in all subject areas. Please indicate in your letter of application the content area(s) and campus preference(s) for which you are applying. Substitute Teachers Substitute teachers are needed when a teacher is ill or plans to attend a professional development activity during the school day. Teachers are required to provide lesson plans during their absence so that substitute teachers can provide continuous instruction for students. Applications are accepted throughout the year for substitute teachers in all subject areas for grades 6-12.
